What Shows To Watch Before You Start "Daredevil: Born Again."
Recently, Marvel Studios have released a sort of sequel show to their Netflix show -- Daredevil -- called Daredevil: Born Again. With new episodes being released once a week people have started wondering, "What shows should I watch before this?" Or maybe it's just me wondering that, I don't know... BUT! Fear no more, This is a complete guide of shows that you need to watch before starting DDBA. I've provided a list of the shows and movies in chronological order, which in this case is the same as the release order.
What's Daredevil About?
The Netflix show Daredevil is about a man named Matt Murdock -- played by Charlie Cox -- who's a lawyer that works at his own practice in Hell's Kitchen. He's a really good lawyer. He also goes around at night doing a bunch of unnecessary backflips while blindfolded, beating people up, and protecting the city of Hell's Kitchen, but that's just a fun little hobby of his. The show starts with showing us a mix of Matt's work-life as a lawyer, bits and pieces of his childhood, and him fighting crime in the night, while also showcasing the task of him hiding his secret identity from his friends Karen and Foggy.
By the way, did I mention that he's blind? Yup, he's blind and running around doing random flips and shit, kind of crazy, but extremely impressive.
Essentially, throughout the 3 seasons of Daredevil, we see Matt Murdock trying to take down a bald-headed man-baby named Wilson Fisk, A.K.A "Kingpin." Fisk is crazy and kills a bunch of people, and yet he has a wife. How does bro have more play than me when he's a mass-murderer? Is it because he's a multi-millionaire (billionaire?)? Life's not fair. The show also includes Matt being a man-whore so I guess he would get along well with Wolverine; they both get passed around more than a wifi password.
Anyways, that's basically the gist of the show, I think? I've only seen the first season... Don't yell at me, I'm making my way through the Defender's Saga.
What Is The Defender's Saga?
The Defender's Saga is a collection of TV shows focusing around different characters. You find characters from other shows in the Defender's Saga in Daredevil and vice-versa. They're just a group of people with special abilities that occasionally fight crime together, that's basically it I think.
